Inhale Exhibition - 2011
Throughout the exhibition opening, gallery goers were given these instructions:
Plant – Seedballs: California Native Grass and Wildflowers
Made from a mixture of clay, compost, and seeds, seedballs are a great way to combat the many forgotten grey spaces you encounter everyday: from sidewalk cracks, to vacant lots and parking medians. They can be thrown anonymously into these abandoned urban sites to reclaim and transform them into places worth looking at or tossed into your home garden.
1. Find an available space and toss or bury (half way is fine) your seedball.
2. For faster germination, make sure your seedballs gets plenty of water to start.
3. Under ideal conditions the seeds should begin to germinate and sprout in about 3-5 days.
